What’s new at the Greg Olsen Local History Room?

We re-opened July 22, 2025 after a 3 year hiatus, and slowly making waves to bring the G.O.L.H.R into the 21st century. We have many Social Media accounts…all can be found on our website:

We have welcomed a few visitors looking for information regarding Ridgefield Park, NJ. We received a few donations, such as a vintage Varsity Jacket from the 1950s, a water color painting of Ridgefield Park High School that was located where Fellowship Park is today.

We also just finished putting together our SECOND display upstairs!! Come by the Ridgefield Park Public Library to see it! Perfect theme for back to school.

Why should you visit the Local History Room?

We offer a lot of great sources for your project, whether for work, school or personal. 

We have an in house genealogist to help you with your family ancestry.

We also have information about properties/homes in RP…Maybe even yours!

ALSO!! We are always looking to preserve Ridgefield Park’s history. Always looking for donations of vintage items, or monetary donations to help keep us operating.

Ridgefield Park, NJ Streets

This previous Monday, I posted a video on our youtube/instagram pages regarding the information about different streets/homes in Ridgefield Park, NJ. I was able to provide her with some information regarding her house/property. It made my day that my video inspired her to come in to the room for the information. I decided to start scanning the contents of the boxes shown in the video(s).  That way, our patron's will have the option of either printing out the information to have in hand, or have the information emailed to them, as I have noticed some properties have 5+ cards.
